This is a very striking 20th-century Sommerso art glass flying saucer submerged bowl with bullicante

Cherry red orb patterned with Bullicante bubbles in a thick layer of crystal clear glass.

The shades of red reflect with the light amazingly and the ribbed design is very characteristic of designs of the late 50’s and 60’s.

In very good used condition – with light age-related wear to the base, less than you would expect for a heavy glass bowl over 60 years old – a truly excellent example.
